Description

This Tequila & Sriracha Glazed Salmon recipe perfectly balances sweet, spicy, and smoky flavors. A quick and flavorful glaze made with tequila, sriracha, honey, lime juice, and olive oil creates a delicious caramelized finish on tender, juicy salmon fillets. Ideal for a healthy and vibrant main course, this dish is easy to prepare and makes an impressive meal for any occasion.

Ingredients

Salmon and Seasoning

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Tequila & Sriracha Glaze

  • 2 tbsp tequila
  • 2 tbsp sriracha sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Garnish

  • Chopped cilantro
  • Lime wedges

Instructions

  1. Prepare the glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together tequila, sriracha, honey, lime juice, and olive oil until fully combined to create a smooth, spicy-sweet glaze.
  2. Season the salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry and season both sides with salt and black pepper to taste for enhanced flavor.
  3. Apply the glaze: Generously brush the prepared tequila and sriracha glaze over all sides of the salmon fillets, ensuring an even coating.
  4. Preheat the grill or oven: Heat your grill to medium-high or preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C), preparing for cooking.
  5. Cook the salmon: Place the salmon on the grill or in an oven-safe pan and cook for 10 to 12 minutes. Halfway through cooking, brush additional glaze over the fillets to build up a caramelized finish.
  6. Check for doneness: The salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork and has an opaque appearance throughout.
  7. Garnish and serve: Remove the salmon from heat and garnish with freshly chopped cilantro and lime wedges. Serve immediately with your choice of sides.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of sriracha to control the spice level according to your preference.
  • This salmon pairs wonderfully with rice, grilled vegetables, or a fresh salad to complete the meal.
  • You can also cook the salmon in the oven if grilling is not available.
  • For best results, use fresh salmon fillets and brush glaze multiple times during cooking for maximum flavor.
