Description

This Strawberry Lemonade is a refreshing and vibrant beverage that masterfully combines the sweetness of fresh strawberries with the tangy brightness of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Ideal for summer gatherings, picnics, or a cool afternoon refreshment, this easy-to-make drink is bursting with natural flavor and perfectly balanced sweetness.

Ingredients

Strawberry Puree

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 1 cup cold water

Lemonade Mix

  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 3 cups cold water

To Serve

  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • Lemon slices, for garnish
  • Fresh strawberries, for garnish
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Strawberry Puree: Add the fresh strawberries and 1 cup of cold water to a blender and blend until smooth to create a fresh strawberry puree that forms the base of the lemonade.
  2. Strain (Optional): For a smoother texture, strain the strawberry puree through a fine-mesh sieve to remove seeds and pulp, although this step can be skipped if you prefer a thicker drink.
  3. Mix Lemonade: In a large pitcher, combine the strawberry puree, freshly squeezed lemon juice, granulated sugar, and the remaining 3 cups of cold water.
  4. Dissolve Sugar: Stir the mixture thoroughly until the sugar is completely dissolved, ensuring a consistent sweetness throughout the lemonade.
  5. Chill: Refrigerate the lemonade until thoroughly chilled, enhancing the refreshing quality of the drink.
  6. Serve: Serve the strawberry lemonade over ice cubes and garnish with lemon slices, fresh strawberries, and mint leaves if desired for a vibrant and appealing presentation.

Notes

  • You can use frozen strawberries if fresh ones are unavailable; just allow them to thaw slightly before blending.
  • Adjust the amount of sugar according to the natural sweetness of your strawberries or personal preference.
