Description

Crispy salmon bites coated in a creamy, sweet, and spicy Bang Bang sauce make an irresistible appetizer or quick dinner that’s ready in under 30 minutes. Perfectly seasoned and cooked to tender perfection, these salmon bites are a flavorful treat that can be enjoyed on their own or paired with rice or lettuce wraps.

Ingredients

Salmon

  • pounds salmon, skin removed and cubed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Bang Bang Sauce

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat: Preheat your air fryer or oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure it’s ready for cooking the salmon bites evenly and quickly.
  2. Season Salmon: In a bowl, toss the cubed salmon with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well coated with the seasoning mixture.
  3. Cook Salmon: Place the seasoned salmon cubes in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry for 8–10 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and slightly crispy on the outside. Alternatively, bake in an oven-safe dish for 12–15 minutes.
  4. Make Bang Bang Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, honey, and lime juice until you achieve a smooth, creamy sauce with a perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and tangy flavors.
  5. Toss or Drizzle: Once the salmon bites are cooked, either toss them gently in the Bang Bang sauce to fully coat or drizzle the sauce over the top for a lighter touch.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Garnish the salmon bites with chopped green onions and sesame seeds for added flavor and texture. Serve immediately with rice or lettuce wraps as desired.

Notes

  • Do not overcook the salmon to keep it moist and tender.
  • Adjust the amount of Sriracha to suit your preferred spice level.
  • This dish pairs excellently with rice or wrapped in lettuce leaves for a low-carb option.
