Description
Layers of creamy cheesecake filling, buttery graham cracker crust, rich pecan pie topping, and fluffy whipped cream combine to create this no-bake pecan pie lasagna, a perfect holiday dessert that is both easy to assemble and delightfully indulgent.
Ingredients
Crust Layer
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- ½ cup melted butter
Cream Cheese Layer
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tub whipped topping (approximately 8 oz)
Pecan Pie Layer
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup butter
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Topping
- Extra whipped topping (about ½ tub or 4 oz)
- Chopped pecans for garnish (about ¼ cup)
Instructions
- Prepare the Crust: In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of a baking dish to form the crust, then refrigerate to chill and set.
- Make the Cream Cheese Layer: Beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in the whipped topping until fully incorporated, creating a light and fluffy mixture.
- Assemble the Cream Cheese Layer: Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chilled graham cracker crust, smoothing the surface for an even layer.
- Cook the Pecan Pie Layer: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the chopped pecans, brown sugar, butter, and heavy cream. Simmer gently, stirring frequently, for 3 to 4 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Allow the mixture to cool slightly.
- Add the Pecan Pie Topping: Once cooled but still pourable, spread the pecan pie mixture evenly over the cream cheese layer.
- Top with Whipped Cream and Pecans: Spread extra whipped topping over the pecan pie layer, then sprinkle with chopped pecans for garnish.
- Chill to Set: Refrigerate the assembled pecan pie lasagna for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the layers to set and flavors to meld before serving.
Notes
- For best texture and flavor, chill the dessert overnight.
- To enhance the pecan flavor, toast the pecans lightly before adding them to the pecan pie layer.
- Store the dessert refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 4 days to maintain freshness.
