Description

A fresh and healthy Mediterranean Burger Bowl featuring juicy seasoned ground beef or lamb, crisp and vibrant vegetables, tangy feta cheese, olives, and a zesty olive oil and lemon dressing. This bowl offers a perfect balance of protein and vegetables for a quick, flavorful, and nourishing meal.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 300 g ground beef or lamb
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Vegetables and Cheese

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 1 cucumber, chopped
  • 1/2 red onion, sliced
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup olives

Dressing

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Season the meat: In a bowl, combine the ground beef or lamb with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly to ensure even seasoning throughout the meat.
  2. Cook the meat: Heat a pan over medium heat and add the seasoned meat. Cook it thoroughly, stirring occasionally, until browned and fully cooked through, about 10-15 minutes.
  3. Prepare the vegetables: While the meat cooks, wash and chop the cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and slice the red onion. Arrange these fresh vegetables in a serving bowl.
  4. Assemble the bowl: Once the meat is cooked, place it over the bed of chopped vegetables in the bowl. Sprinkle the feta cheese and olives evenly on top.
  5. Add dressing and serve: Drizzle the olive oil and lemon juice over the assembled ingredients just before serving to enhance the flavors and add a fresh, tangy finish.

Notes

  • You can substitute the ground meat with grilled chicken or chickpeas to suit dietary preferences.
  • Adding hummus or tzatziki as a side or dollop can provide extra flavor and creaminess.
