Description
A quick and flavorful honey garlic chicken stir fry featuring tender chicken breasts cooked with crisp bell peppers and broccoli in a delicious sweet and savory sauce, ideal for easy weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
Chicken and Sauce
- 2 chicken breasts, sliced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Vegetables
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
Other
- 2 tablespoons oil
Instructions
- Prepare the sauce: In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, oyster sauce, and cornstarch until smooth and well combined. Set aside.
- Heat the pan: Place a pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tablespoons of oil, allowing it to warm up before adding ingredients.
- Cook the chicken: Add the sliced chicken breasts to the hot pan and cook, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is lightly browned and mostly cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add vegetables: Toss in the sliced bell pepper and broccoli florets, stir frying them with the chicken for about 3 to 4 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Combine with sauce: Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and vegetables, stirring constantly. Cook until the sauce thickens and coats everything evenly, about 2-3 minutes.
- Serve: Remove from heat and serve the honey garlic chicken stir fry hot, ideally with steamed rice or noodles.
Notes
- For juicier chicken, substitute chicken breasts with boneless chicken thighs.
- Add chili flakes or fresh chili for a spicy kick if desired.
- This dish is best served fresh to enjoy the crispness of the vegetables and tender chicken.
