Description
This homemade Blackberry Juice is a fresh, fruity, and naturally vibrant drink made from juicy blackberries, lemon juice, and a touch of natural sweetness. It’s a perfectly refreshing beverage for warm summer days, easy to prepare with just a blender and a few simple ingredients.
Ingredients
Ingredients
- 4 cups fresh or frozen blackberries
- 3 cups cold water
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2–3 tablespoons honey, agave, or sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- Ice, for serving
- Fresh blackberries and lemon slices, for garnish
Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: Add the blackberries, cold water, fresh lemon juice, sweetener of choice (honey, agave, or sugar), and optional vanilla extract into a blender.
- Blend Smooth: Blend all the ingredients on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and evenly blended to release all the juice from the berries.
- Strain Juice: Pour the blended mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher. Gently press the solids with a spoon to extract as much juice as possible, removing seeds and pulp.
- Taste and Adjust: Sample the juice and adjust sweetness or lemon juice as desired to balance flavor.
- Chill: Refrigerate the juice until thoroughly chilled to enhance the refreshing quality.
- Serve: Serve the blackberry juice over ice and garnish with fresh blackberries and lemon slices for a beautiful presentation.
Notes
- Frozen blackberries work well and help make the drink extra cold without diluting it.
- For a thinner juice consistency, simply add more cold water during blending.
- Add sparkling water to transform this into a fizzy blackberry refresher.
- To keep this recipe vegan, substitute honey with agave syrup or maple syrup.
