Description

A quick and hearty one-pan meal featuring savory ground beef combined with tender, sautéed cabbage. This easy-to-make dish is perfect for busy weeknights, budget-friendly, and can be customized with optional veggies and sauces for added flavor.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 500g ground beef

Vegetables

  • 1 small cabbage, chopped
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Other Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil: In a large pan over medium heat, warm the 2 tablespoons of oil until shimmering, preparing the base for sautéing the aromatics.
  2. Sauté onion and garlic: Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the pan and cook, stirring frequently, until they become soft and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Cook the ground beef: Add the ground beef to the pan, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, and cook until browned evenly with no pink remaining, about 7-8 minutes.
  4. Incorporate cabbage: Stir in the chopped cabbage and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender and slightly wilted, approximately 8–10 minutes.
  5. Season the dish: Sprinkle the paprika, salt, and pepper over the mixture, then add the soy sauce if desired. Mix thoroughly to combine all flavors evenly.
  6. Serve hot: Once well mixed and heated through, remove from heat and serve the dish warm for the best taste and texture.
