Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375 °F (190 °C) to prepare for baking the casserole.
  2. Cook Ground Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks. Once browned, season it with garlic powder, salt, and pepper for enhanced flavor. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  3. Steam Broccoli: Steam the chopped broccoli until just tender but still bright green, about 4-5 minutes. This helps retain its texture and nutrients.
  4. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the browned beef, steamed broccoli, cream of mushroom or chicken soup, sour cream, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Stir everything together thoroughly to create a creamy, cheesy mixture.
