Ingredients
Salmon Fillets
- 4 salmon fillets (6 ounces each)
Herb Crust
- ¾ cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried dill
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Other
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for baking the salmon.
- Prepare Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry thoroughly with paper towels and season both sides with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Make Herb Crust Mixture: In a bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, dried parsley, dried dill, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix well to evenly distribute the herbs and spices.
- Apply Olive Oil and Herb Mix: Brush the tops of the salmon fillets with olive oil. Then generously press the breadcrumb and herb mixture onto the olive-oiled surface, forming a crust.
- Arrange for Baking: Place the coated salmon fillets on a parchment-lined baking sheet to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking.
- Bake the Salmon: Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the crust turns golden and crisp.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges for added brightness.
