Description

This Crispy Herb-Crusted Salmon features perfectly flaky salmon fillets coated in a flavorful blend of herbs and breadcrumbs, then baked until golden and crisp. It’s a quick, elegant dinner that’s ready in under 30 minutes, combining the richness of salmon with a crunchy, aromatic topping.

Ingredients

Salmon Fillets

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 ounces each)

Herb Crust

  • ¾ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Other

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for baking the salmon.
  2. Prepare Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry thoroughly with paper towels and season both sides with salt and black pepper to taste.
  3. Make Herb Crust Mixture: In a bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, dried parsley, dried dill, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix well to evenly distribute the herbs and spices.
  4. Apply Olive Oil and Herb Mix: Brush the tops of the salmon fillets with olive oil. Then generously press the breadcrumb and herb mixture onto the olive-oiled surface, forming a crust.
  5. Arrange for Baking: Place the coated salmon fillets on a parchment-lined baking sheet to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking.
  6. Bake the Salmon: Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the crust turns golden and crisp.
  7. Serve: Remove from the oven and serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges for added brightness.

Notes

  • Broil the salmon for the last 1–2 minutes to achieve an extra-crispy topping.
  • This dish pairs wonderfully with roasted vegetables or a side of rice for a complete meal.
  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator and consume within 2 days for best freshness.
