Description

A rich and comforting one-pan pasta dish featuring tender steak strips coated in a creamy garlic sauce—perfect for a quick yet satisfying dinner.

Ingredients

Steak and Pasta

  • 300g steak, thinly sliced (ribeye or sirloin recommended)
  • 250g pasta (penne or fettuccine)

Sauce and Seasoning

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ cup grated cheese (Parmesan or cheddar)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain well and set aside, ensuring it doesn’t stick together.
  2. Brown the Steak: Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced steak and cook until browned on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side depending on thickness. Remove steak from the skillet and set aside to rest.
  3. Sauté the Garlic: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds to 1 minute until fragrant but not burnt, scraping up any browned bits from the steak for extra flavor.
  4. Prepare the Cream Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let the cream simmer gently for 3–4 minutes to thicken slightly, stirring occasionally.
  5. Melt the Cheese: Stir in the grated Parmesan or cheddar cheese until fully melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  6. Toss Everything Together: Return the cooked pasta and steak slices to the skillet. Toss gently to combine and coat everything evenly with the creamy garlic sauce.
  7. Serve: Serve immediately while hot for the best texture and flavor.

Notes

  • Use ribeye or sirloin for the best flavor and tenderness.
  • Adding spinach or mushrooms can boost texture and nutritional value.
  • Best served fresh; the creamy sauce may thicken upon reheating.
