Description
A rich and comforting one-pan pasta dish featuring tender steak strips coated in a creamy garlic sauce—perfect for a quick yet satisfying dinner.
Ingredients
Steak and Pasta
- 300g steak, thinly sliced (ribeye or sirloin recommended)
- 250g pasta (penne or fettuccine)
Sauce and Seasoning
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ cup grated cheese (Parmesan or cheddar)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain well and set aside, ensuring it doesn’t stick together.
- Brown the Steak: Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced steak and cook until browned on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side depending on thickness. Remove steak from the skillet and set aside to rest.
- Sauté the Garlic: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds to 1 minute until fragrant but not burnt, scraping up any browned bits from the steak for extra flavor.
- Prepare the Cream Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let the cream simmer gently for 3–4 minutes to thicken slightly, stirring occasionally.
- Melt the Cheese: Stir in the grated Parmesan or cheddar cheese until fully melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Toss Everything Together: Return the cooked pasta and steak slices to the skillet. Toss gently to combine and coat everything evenly with the creamy garlic sauce.
- Serve: Serve immediately while hot for the best texture and flavor.
Notes
- Use ribeye or sirloin for the best flavor and tenderness.
- Adding spinach or mushrooms can boost texture and nutritional value.
- Best served fresh; the creamy sauce may thicken upon reheating.
