Ingredients
Chicken
- 2 boneless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Sauce
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (about 1 ounce)
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 clove garlic, minced
Garnish
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Instructions
- Heat the oil: Warm 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat to prepare for cooking the chicken.
- Cook the chicken: Season the boneless chicken breasts with 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. Cook the chicken in the preheated skillet for 5–6 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Sauté garlic: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant, taking care not to burn it.
- Create the sauce base: Pour in 1/2 cup chicken broth and stir, scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet to incorporate flavor.
- Add seasonings and cream: Stir in 1 packet of ranch seasoning mix, 1/2 cup heavy cream, and 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese. Continue stirring until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
- Combine chicken and sauce: Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet and spoon the creamy ranch sauce over the top of the chicken pieces.
- Simmer: Let the chicken simmer in the sauce for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens and the flavors meld together.
- Garnish and serve: Sprinkle 1 tablespoon chopped parsley over the chicken for a fresh touch and serve warm with your favorite sides like rice, pasta, or vegetables.
