It delivers a creamy, flavorful sauce that perfectly complements the delicate lobster, making it a restaurant-quality meal that’s surprisingly easy to prepare at home.
Ingredients
Pasta
- 12 ounces linguine
Lobster and Sauce
- 2 lobster tails, cooked and chopped
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup dry white wine
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Garnish
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Cook the Linguine: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the linguine according to the package directions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of the pasta cooking water before draining the pasta thoroughly.
- Prepare the Sauce Base: In a large skillet, heat the butter and olive oil over medium heat until melted and hot. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, stirring frequently, until fragrant but not browned.
- Deglaze with White Wine: Pour in the dry white wine and let it simmer uncovered for 2 to 3 minutes to reduce slightly and concentrate the flavors.
- Add Cream and Cheese: Stir in the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese, mixing continuously until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Incorporate Lobster and Lemon: Add the chopped cooked lobster, lemon zest, and lemon juice to the skillet. Cook the mixture for 2 minutes to heat the lobster through and meld the flavors. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
- Toss Pasta with Sauce: Add the drained linguine to the skillet with the lobster cream sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time if the sauce needs loosening.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the pasta and serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.
Notes
- Be careful not to overcook the lobster to avoid tough meat.
- Use freshly grated Parmesan cheese for the best melting and flavor.
- Serve this pasta with garlic bread and a crisp green salad for a complete meal.
