Description

A quick and creamy seafood dish featuring shrimp and mixed seafood in a rich garlic cream sauce, perfect for an easy yet elegant dinner.

Ingredients

Seafood

  • 200 g shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 200 g mixed seafood (mussels, squid, or scallops)

Sauce

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken or seafood broth
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the base: Melt butter in a pan over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes, making sure it doesn’t brown to avoid bitterness.
  2. Cook the seafood: Add the shrimp and mixed seafood to the pan. Cook briefly, stirring occasionally, until the seafood starts to turn opaque but is not fully cooked, approximately 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add liquids: Pour in the heavy cream and chicken or seafood broth. Stir to combine and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
  4. Season and thicken: Stir in grated parmesan cheese, paprika, salt, and pepper. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until the seafood is fully cooked through and the sauce thickens slightly, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Finish and serve: Remove from heat. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot over pasta, rice, or your preferred base for a complete meal.

Notes

  • Serve over pasta or rice for a complete meal.
  • Do not overcook seafood to keep it tender and avoid rubbery texture.
  • You can substitute the mixed seafood with your favorite types such as scallops or calamari.
  • Adjust seasoning according to taste before serving.
