Description
A simple and creamy chicken Alfredo made with tender chicken breasts, fettuccine pasta, and a rich garlic parmesan sauce, perfect for a quick, satisfying Italian-American meal that combines comfort and elegance.
Ingredients
Pasta
- 250 g fettuccine pasta
Chicken
- 2 chicken breasts, sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Sauce
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
Garnish
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook Pasta: Cook the fettuccine pasta according to the package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside to keep warm.
- Season and Cook Chicken: Season sliced chicken breasts with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat, then add the chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Sauté Garlic: Add minced garlic to the skillet with the chicken and sauté briefly for about 30 seconds to release its aroma without burning.
- Prepare Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally to blend flavors and slightly thicken the sauce, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add Cheese: Stir in the grated parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Toss Pasta with Sauce and Chicken: Add the cooked fettuccine into the skillet with the sauce and chicken, tossing everything together to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley on top for color and freshness, then serve the dish warm and enjoy.
Notes
- Use freshly grated parmesan for the best flavor and smooth sauce texture.
- Add broccoli or mushrooms to the sauce for variation and added nutrition.
- If the sauce is too thick, thin it with a little reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
