- 1 cup chilled green tea
- 1 1/2 cups cold water
Sweetener
- 2–3 tablespoons sugar or agave syrup
Other
- 1 cup ice
Instructions
- Brew green tea: Brew the green tea according to your preferred method and allow it to cool completely, ensuring it is chilled for the refresher base.
- Blend fruit and liquids: Add the mango chunks, dragon fruit, fresh lime juice, chosen sweetener (sugar or agave syrup), and cold water into a blender.
- Puree mixture: Blend until the mixture is smooth and evenly combined, creating a vibrant fruit base.
- Strain mixture (optional): If you prefer a smoother texture without pulp or seeds, strain the blended mixture through a fine mesh sieve.
- Combine in pitcher: Pour the blended fruit mixture into a large pitcher to prepare for serving.
- Add green tea and grape juice: Stir in the chilled green tea along with the optional white grape juice to enhance sweetness and flavor complexity.
- Add dragon fruit pieces: Mix in the freeze-dried or fresh dragon fruit pieces to add texture and visual appeal.
- Serve over ice: Fill individual glasses with ice cubes and pour the refresher over the ice. Stir gently to combine and serve immediately for a refreshing, chilled drink.
Notes
- White grape juice adds natural sweetness and helps replicate the classic café refresher flavor.
- Using frozen fruit results in a colder and thicker drink without adding ice.
- Adding extra dragon fruit increases the vibrant pink color of the beverage.
- Replace green tea with chilled hibiscus or herbal tea for a caffeine-free version.
- Adjust the sweetness as needed depending on the ripeness and natural sweetness of your mango and dragon fruit.
