Description

Classic Beef Tacos featuring seasoned ground beef cooked with chili powder and cumin, served in crispy taco shells with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and shredded cheese for a quick and delicious Mexican meal.

Ingredients

Beef Filling

  • 250 g ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Taco Assembly

  • 6 taco shells
  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat oil: Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan over medium heat until hot but not smoking.
  2. Cook beef: Add 250 g of ground beef to the pan and cook, stirring occasionally, until the beef is fully browned and no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Season beef: Stir in 1 teaspoon chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon cumin, salt, and pepper to taste. Mix well and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to blend flavors.
  4. Warm taco shells: Warm the 6 taco shells according to the package instructions to ensure they are crispy and pliable.
  5. Assemble tacos: Fill each warm taco shell with the seasoned beef, then top with 1/2 cup shredded lettuce, 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes, and 1/2 cup shredded cheese evenly divided among the tacos.
  6. Serve immediately: Serve the tacos right away while warm for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • Add sour cream or salsa for extra flavor and creaminess.
  • Substitute ground beef with cooked chicken or beans to vary the protein.
