Description

Cherry Delight is a creamy, no-bake dessert featuring a buttery graham cracker crust, a rich cream cheese filling, and a sweet cherry pie topping. It’s simple to prepare and perfect for holidays, potlucks, and summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Crust

  • 2 cups (200g) graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted

Filling

  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 oz (225g) whipped topping, thawed

Topping

  • 1 can (21 oz / 595g) cherry pie filling

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust: Combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter in a bowl until the mixture is evenly moistened. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish to form a solid crust. Place the dish in the refrigerator to chill while you prepare the filling.
  2. Make the filling: In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping, ensuring it is evenly incorporated without deflating the mixture.
  3. Assemble the dessert: Spread the cream cheese filling evenly over the chilled graham cracker crust. Then, spoon the cherry pie filling evenly over the top of the cream cheese layer, spreading gently to cover the surface.
  4. Chill before serving: Cover the dish and refrigerate the assembled dessert for at least 4 hours, allowing it to set firmly and the flavors to meld together. For best results and cleaner slices, chill overnight before serving.

Notes

  • Blueberry or strawberry pie filling can be substituted for the cherry pie filling.
  • Chill the dessert overnight for cleaner, neater slices when serving.
  • Store the dessert refrigerated and consume within 4 days for optimal freshness.
