Description

These Cap’n Crunch bars are a quick and easy no-bake treat made with crunchy cereal, marshmallows, and butter. They’re sweet, chewy, and perfect for lunchboxes, parties, or after-school snacks.

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 6 cups Cap’n Crunch cereal
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • ¼ cup (60g) unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pan: Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. Melt butter: In a large saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter gently to avoid burning.
  3. Add marshmallows: Add mini marshmallows to the melted butter and stir continuously until the marshmallows are completely melted and smooth.
  4. Flavor mixture: Remove the saucepan from the heat, then stir in the vanilla extract to infuse flavor.
  5. Combine with cereal: Fold the Cap’n Crunch cereal into the marshmallow mixture, mixing until every piece is evenly coated.
  6. Press into pan: Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and press gently to spread it evenly.
  7. Set bars: Allow the mixture to cool and set for about 30 minutes at room temperature until firm.
  8. Cut and serve: Once set, cut into 16 bars and serve as a sweet, chewy snack.

Notes

  • Do not press the mixture too firmly to keep the bars light and chewy rather than hard.
  • For added sweetness and texture, consider mixing in white chocolate chips.
  • Store the bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days to maintain freshness.
