Ingredients
Beef and Vegetables
- 1½ lbs flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
- Green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Teriyaki Sauce
- ½ cup low-sodium soy sauce
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
Instructions
- Prepare the Teriyaki Sauce: Whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water in a bowl until smooth and set aside.
- Preheat Griddle and Add Oil: Heat your Blackstone griddle over medium-high heat and add the vegetable oil to coat the surface evenly for cooking.
- Cook the Beef: Place the thinly sliced beef onto the hot griddle and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until the beef is browned and partially cooked through.
- Push Beef Aside: Move the cooked beef to one side of the griddle to make room for the vegetables.
- Cook the Vegetables: Add the sliced red and green bell peppers, onion, broccoli florets, minced garlic, and grated ginger to the griddle and cook until they are tender-crisp, about 5 to 7 minutes.
- Combine Ingredients: Mix the beef and vegetables together on the griddle to combine them well.
- Add Teriyaki Sauce: Pour the prepared teriyaki sauce over the beef and vegetables and stir continuously until the sauce thickens and all ingredients are evenly coated.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving, ideally over steamed jasmine or fried rice.
Notes
