Description
Fluffy and easy-to-make chocolate chip muffins using Bisquick mix, perfect for a quick breakfast or snack.
Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
- 2 cups Bisquick mix
- 2 tbsp sugar
Wet Ingredients
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 egg
Add-ins
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it reaches the proper temperature while you prepare the batter.
- Prepare the batter: In a mixing bowl, combine the Bisquick mix, milk, sugar, and egg. Stir until all ingredients are just combined; avoid overmixing to keep the muffins light and fluffy.
- Add chocolate chips: Gently fold in the chocolate chips to evenly distribute them throughout the batter without breaking them up.
- Fill the muffin tin: Spoon the batter evenly into a greased or lined muffin tin, filling each cup about two-thirds full to allow room for rising.
- Bake the muffins: Place the muffin tin in the oven and bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the tops turn golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool and serve: Once baked, remove the muffins from the oven and let them cool slightly before removing from the tin. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, substitute milk with half-and-half or buttermilk.
- You can swap chocolate chips for nuts or dried fruit as a variation.
- Do not overmix the batter to avoid dense muffins.
- To prevent sticking, grease the muffin tin or use paper liners.
- Muffins are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
