Description

A deconstructed burger bowl inspired by the classic Big Mac. Juicy ground beef cooked with garlic and onion powder, combined with crisp romaine or iceberg lettuce, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped dill pickles, diced onions, and optional cherry tomatoes. Topped with a creamy homemade Big Mac sauce dressing for all the classic flavors without the bun.

Ingredients

For the Salad:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • 6 cups chopped romaine or iceberg lettuce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup dill pickles, chopped
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved (optional)
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds (optional garnish)

For the Big Mac Sauce Dressing:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 2 tbsp dill pickle relish
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Cook the Ground Beef: In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until browned evenly. Drain any excess fat and set aside to cool slightly.
  2. Make the Big Mac Sauce Dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, yellow mustard, dill pickle relish, white vinegar, and smoked paprika until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  3. Assemble the Salad: Place a bed of chopped lettuce into individual bowls or on a large serving platter. Top evenly with the cooked ground beef, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped pickles, diced onions, and halved cherry tomatoes if using.
  4. Add the Sauce: Drizzle the prepared Big Mac sauce dressing generously over the assembled salad.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with sesame seeds as an optional garnish to mimic the burger bun seeds. Serve immediately for the freshest texture and flavor.

Notes

  • Great for meal prep — store cooked beef, lettuce, and dressing separately and assemble just before eating.
  • Make it keto or low-carb by using sugar-free ketchup.
  • Add avocado slices for extra creaminess and healthy fats.
