Ingredients
Steak and Marinade
- 1 lb (450 g) flank steak, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Noodles
- 8 oz (225 g) egg noodles
Vegetables and Sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 small onion, sliced
- ½ cup barbecue sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
Garnish
- Green onions, sliced for garnish
Instructions
- Cook Noodles: Cook the egg noodles according to the package directions until al dente. Drain well and set aside to keep warm.
- Prepare Steak: Season the thinly sliced flank steak with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper evenly to infuse flavor.
- Cook Steak: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned steak strips and cook for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until browned but still tender. Remove steak from skillet and set aside.
- Sauté Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the sliced red bell pepper and onion. Sauté until the vegetables are tender and slightly caramelized, about 5 to 7 minutes.
- Combine Steak and Sauce: Return the cooked steak strips to the skillet with the vegetables. Stir in the barbecue sauce and soy sauce, mixing thoroughly to coat all ingredients with the smoky sauce.
- Add Noodles: Add the cooked egg noodles to the skillet and toss well to evenly combine and heat through, ensuring the noodles are fully coated with the sauce and mixed with the steak and vegetables.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with sliced green onions, and serve immediately for a flavorful barbecue-infused noodle dish.
