Description

This Baked Salmon recipe delivers tender, flaky fillets perfectly seasoned with garlic, lemon, and herbs. Ready in just 25 minutes, it’s an easy and healthy dinner option that pairs wonderfully with roasted vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad, making it a versatile main course for any weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Salmon

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

Seasoning Mixture

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Garnish

  • Lemon slices, for garnish
  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure a hot environment that will cook the salmon evenly.
  2. Prepare the baking sheet: Line a baking sheet or baking dish with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  3. Mix seasoning: In a small bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, dried parsley, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to blend all the flavors.
  4. Season the salmon: Brush the prepared seasoning mixture evenly over each salmon fillet to coat them thoroughly.
  5. Bake the salmon: Place the fillets on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the oven for 12–15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork, indicating it is fully cooked but still moist.
  6. Garnish and serve: Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley and lemon slices, and serve immediately to enjoy the fresh flavors at their peak.

Notes

  • Avoid overbaking to keep the salmon moist and tender.
  • Fresh dill or thyme can be used as an excellent herb substitute for parsley.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
