- 1½ cups mixed berries (blueberries, raspberries, or blackberries)
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Topping
- ¼ cup chopped walnuts or pecans
- 2 tablespoons melted butter or coconut oil

- Fresh mint, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the pears evenly.
- Prepare Pears: Arrange the pear halves, cut-side up, in a baking dish ensuring they fit snugly but without overcrowding.
- Mix Berry Filling: In a small bowl, combine the mixed berries with honey, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract to create a flavorful filling.
- Fill Pears: Spoon the berry mixture generously into the center cavity of each pear half.
- Add Toppings: Drizzle each filled pear half with melted butter or coconut oil, then sprinkle chopped nuts evenly over the top for crunch.
- Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30–35 minutes or until the pears become tender and the berries are bubbly.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from oven, optionally garnish with fresh mint leaves, and serve warm alone or accompanied by Greek yogurt, whipped cream, or vanilla ice cream.
Notes
- Bosc or Anjou pears are particularly suited for baking due to their firmness and sweetness.
- For added texture, sprinkle granola over the pears after baking.
- Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat gently before serving.
