Description

Air Fryer Pizza Rolls are crispy on the outside, cheesy on the inside, and bursting with classic pizza flavors like mozzarella, pepperoni, and pizza sauce. Using refrigerated pizza dough and a quick air fryer method, these homemade pizza rolls make an ideal snack, appetizer, or game day treat that’s both easy and delicious.

Ingredients

Pizza Rolls

  • 1 pound refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup mini pepperoni or chopped pepperoni
  • ¼ cup pizza sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For Serving

  • Warm pizza sauce
  • Grated Parmesan cheese
  • Chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer. Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and allow it to preheat while you prepare the pizza rolls.
  2. Prepare the dough. Roll the refrigerated pizza dough into a large rectangle, then cut it into 12 equal-sized squares to create individual portions for filling.
  3. Add filling to each square. Place a small spoonful of pizza sauce, shredded mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni pieces in the center of each dough square.
  4. Seal the rolls. Fold the dough over the filling to enclose it and pinch the edges tightly to prevent any filling from leaking out during cooking.
  5. Season and oil the rolls. Brush each pizza roll lightly with olive oil, then sprinkle with Italian seasoning and garlic powder for extra flavor.
  6. Arrange in the air fryer. Place the pizza rolls in a single layer inside the air fryer basket, making sure to leave space between each so they crisp evenly.
  7. Air fry the rolls. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the rolls turn golden brown and are fully cooked through.
  8. Garnish and serve. Remove the pizza rolls from the air fryer, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley if using, and serve warm with additional pizza sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Avoid overfilling the rolls to prevent the filling from leaking out during cooking.
  • For variation, add cooked sausage, mushrooms, or bell peppers to the filling.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • To reheat, place leftover pizza rolls in the air fryer for 3–4 minutes to restore their crispiness.
