Description

This Vanilla Milk Tea is the ultimate cozy drink, combining smooth vanilla, rich black tea, and creamy milk for a soothing, comforting experience. Ready in just 7 minutes, it’s perfect for chilly weather, a quick afternoon treat, or a special occasion. Simple to make and customizable to your preferences, this vanilla milk tea is sure to become your go-to beverage.

Ingredients

1 Vanilla Bean or 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste (or vanilla extract)

1 teaspoon black tea or 1 black tea bag

1 cup water

¼ cup milk (use any milk or non-dairy milk like oat or almond milk)

1 teaspoon sugar (or sweetener of choice, adjust to taste)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Vanilla:
Slice the vanilla bean in half lengthwise and scrape out the seeds into a small pot. If using vanilla extract or paste, add 1 teaspoon instead.

  2. Boil the Water:
Add 1 cup of water to the pot with the vanilla seeds and bring it to a boil. Remove from heat once it reaches a boil.

  3. Steep the Tea:
Add the black tea bag or loose-leaf tea to the pot. Cover and let steep for 5 minutes. Don’t steep longer to avoid bitterness.

  4. Remove the Tea & Vanilla Bean:
Remove the tea bag or strain out the loose tea leaves. Also, discard the vanilla bean shell.

  5. Sweeten the Tea:
Stir in 1 teaspoon of sugar or sweetener of your choice. Adjust the sweetness to taste.

  6. Froth and Add Milk:
Warm the milk in a separate saucepan or microwave. Froth the milk using a handheld frother, then pour it into the tea mixture and stir to combine.

  7. Serve & Enjoy:
Serve your vanilla milk tea immediately for a comforting, warm drink. Enjoy every sip!

Notes

  • Vanilla Flavor: Add extra vanilla extract or paste for a richer flavor if the vanilla bean isn’t very strong.
  • Milk Variations: Oat milk provides a creamier texture, while almond milk adds a slight nutty flavor.
  • Spice It Up: Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg on top for a spiced twist.
  • Sweetening: Try honey, agave syrup, or vanilla-flavored simple syrup for added sweetness.
