Ingredients
Steak Bites
- 1½ lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Creamy Parmesan Sauce
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Steak Bites: Pat steak bites dry with paper towels and season with salt and black pepper. This step ensures proper searing and enhances flavor.
- Sear the Steak: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak bites in a single layer and sear for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Work in batches if needed to avoid overcrowding the pan.
- Add Garlic and Seasoning: Reduce heat to medium and add butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant, then sprinkle Italian seasoning over the steak and toss to coat.
- Set Steak Aside: Remove the seared steak bites from the skillet and set aside to keep warm.
- Make the Creamy Parmesan Sauce: In the same skillet, melt 1 tablespoon butter over medium heat. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and paprika. Let the sauce simmer for 3–5 minutes until it thickens.
- Season the Sauce: Taste and season the sauce with salt and pepper as needed.
- Toss Steak in Sauce: Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss in the creamy Parmesan sauce until fully coated and heated through.
- Serve and Garnish: Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve the steak bites hot, perfect over mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta.
Notes
- Sirloin works best for this recipe, but ribeye or strip steak are excellent alternatives with richer marbling.
- For extra richness, add an additional tablespoon of butter to the sauce.
- Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta for a complete, hearty meal.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days.
