Description

This Sweet Cinnamon Milk Tea is the perfect cozy drink for any occasion, blending warm cinnamon, creamy milk, and rich black tea. Easy to make in just 15 minutes, it’s ideal for chilly afternoons, family gatherings, or as a comforting treat. With the option to customize sweetness and milk types, this soothing drink will quickly become your new favorite!

Ingredients

3 cinnamon sticks

3 black tea bags

1 ½ cups milk (2% works great, but you can use any milk or non-dairy substitute)

1 tablespoon maple syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cinnamon Base:
In a small saucepan, combine 2 cups of water and the cinnamon sticks. Bring to a boil over medium heat, allowing the cinnamon to infuse the water.

  2. Steep the Tea:
Once the water boils, remove from heat and add the black tea bags. Cover and let steep for about 7 minutes to create a rich cinnamon-infused base.

  3. Heat the Milk:
While the tea steeps, warm the milk in the microwave or a separate saucepan until hot but not boiling.

  4. Combine the Ingredients:
Remove the cinnamon sticks and tea bags from the saucepan. Stir in the maple syrup and vanilla extract for sweetness and added warmth.

  5. Add the Milk & Serve:
Pour the warm milk into the tea mixture, stir well to combine, and divide into two cups. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Milk Choices: Use whole milk for a creamier texture, or opt for almond, oat, or coconut milk for a non-dairy version.
  • Sweetener Swap: If you don’t have maple syrup, try honey or agave for a different sweetness.
  • Extra Spice: Add a dash of nutmeg or cloves for more complexity or a pinch of cinnamon powder for extra cinnamon flavor.
  • Iced Version: Let the tea cool and pour over ice for a refreshing iced cinnamon milk tea.
