Description

Sweet & Savory Peach Quesadillas combine ripe peaches with creamy cheese wrapped in crispy flour tortillas. This fusion snack offers a delicious balance of flavors making it perfect for a quick lunch or satisfying snack any time.

Ingredients

Quesadilla Base

  • 2 flour tortillas

Filling

  • 1 ripe peach, sliced
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese
  • 1 tbsp honey

For Cooking

  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tortillas: Spread the cream cheese evenly on one side of each flour tortilla to create a creamy base for the filling.
  2. Add Filling: Layer the thinly sliced peaches and shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese evenly over one of the cream cheese–covered tortillas.
  3. Drizzle Honey: Drizzle 1 tablespoon of honey over the peach and cheese layers to add a touch of sweetness before closing the quesadilla with the second tortilla, cream cheese side down.
  4. Heat the Pan: Warm 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet or non-stick pan over medium heat until melted and sizzling.
  5. Cook Quesadilla: Place the assembled quesadilla in the pan and cook until the bottom tortilla turns golden brown and the cheese begins to melt, about 4-5 minutes. Carefully flip and cook the other side until also golden and the filling is warm and gooey, about another 4-5 minutes.
  6. Serve Warm: Remove the quesadilla from the pan, let it cool slightly, then slice into wedges and serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • Add fresh basil leaves inside the quesadilla for a fragrant herbal note.
  • Use brie cheese instead of mozzarella or cheddar for a richer, creamier flavor.
  • Serve with plain yogurt or a light dipping sauce such as honey yogurt for added creaminess and balance.
