Description

Ingredients

1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain

1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 bell pepper, sliced

1 cup broccoli florets

1 carrot, julienned

3 garlic cloves, minced

1 tablespoon ginger, minced

2 green onions, chopped

Salt and pepper, to taste

Sesame seeds, for garnish


Instructions

  1. Marinate the Steak and Shrimp:
    In a bowl, mix soy sauce and cornstarch. Add the sliced flank steak and shrimp, tossing to coat evenly. Let it marinate for 15-20 minutes.

  2. Cook the Steak:
    Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the marinated steak in a single layer, cooking for about 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  3. Cook the Shrimp:
    In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the marinated shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until they turn pink and opaque. Remove from the skillet and set aside with the cooked steak.

  4. Stir-Fry the Vegetables:
    Add the bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot to the skillet. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp. Add garlic and ginger, cooking for another minute until fragrant.

  5. Combine and Serve:
    Return the cooked steak and shrimp to the skillet with the vegetables. Toss everything together, cooking for another minute to heat through. Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
