Description

Quick, fiery, and satisfying, these Spicy Ramen Noodles offer a bold, comforting bowl perfect for a 15-minute meal that combines heat and flavor effortlessly.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 packs instant ramen noodles (no seasoning packets)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp chili garlic sauce or sriracha
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 egg (optional)

Garnishes

  • Green onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Cook Noodles: Prepare the ramen noodles according to the package directions, omitting the seasoning packets. Once cooked, drain the noodles thoroughly and set aside to keep warm.
  2. Sauté Garlic: Heat the sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned to release its aromatic flavor.
  3. Add Sauces: Stir in the soy sauce and chili garlic sauce (or sriracha) into the skillet with the garlic, mixing well to combine all the spicy and savory flavors.
  4. Toss Noodles: Add the drained noodles to the skillet and toss them thoroughly to ensure they are evenly coated with the sauce mixture, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  5. Cook Egg (Optional): If using an egg, crack it directly into the skillet with the noodles. Stir continuously to scramble and cook the egg until it is fully cooked and integrated with the noodles.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and garnish the spicy ramen with sliced green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds for added texture and a fresh pop of flavor.

Notes

  • Add tofu or cooked chicken to boost the protein content and make the dish more substantial.
  • Adjust the spiciness level by increasing or reducing the amount of chili garlic sauce or substituting with milder chili oil.
