Description
Quick, fiery, and satisfying, these Spicy Ramen Noodles offer a bold, comforting bowl perfect for a 15-minute meal that combines heat and flavor effortlessly.
Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 2 packs instant ramen noodles (no seasoning packets)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp chili garlic sauce or sriracha
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 egg (optional)
Garnishes
- Green onions, sliced
- Sesame seeds
Instructions
- Cook Noodles: Prepare the ramen noodles according to the package directions, omitting the seasoning packets. Once cooked, drain the noodles thoroughly and set aside to keep warm.
- Sauté Garlic: Heat the sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned to release its aromatic flavor.
- Add Sauces: Stir in the soy sauce and chili garlic sauce (or sriracha) into the skillet with the garlic, mixing well to combine all the spicy and savory flavors.
- Toss Noodles: Add the drained noodles to the skillet and toss them thoroughly to ensure they are evenly coated with the sauce mixture, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- Cook Egg (Optional): If using an egg, crack it directly into the skillet with the noodles. Stir continuously to scramble and cook the egg until it is fully cooked and integrated with the noodles.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and garnish the spicy ramen with sliced green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds for added texture and a fresh pop of flavor.
Notes
- Add tofu or cooked chicken to boost the protein content and make the dish more substantial.
- Adjust the spiciness level by increasing or reducing the amount of chili garlic sauce or substituting with milder chili oil.
