Description

S’mores Bars capture all the indulgent flavors of classic campfire s’mores in a convenient, easy-to-make dessert bar. Combining a buttery graham cracker crust with melted chocolate chips and toasted mini marshmallows, these bars offer a nostalgic treat perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Crust

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup sugar

Topping

  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
  2. Make the Crust: In a medium bowl, thoroughly mix the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar until well combined. Press this mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan forming a firm, even crust.
  3. Add Chocolate Chips: Evenly sprinkle the chocolate chips over the graham cracker crust, distributing them so every bar will have plenty of melty chocolate.
  4. Top with Marshmallows: Spread the mini marshmallows evenly over the chocolate chips, covering the entire surface.
  5. Bake: Place the pan in the oven and bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the marshmallows become golden brown and toasted on top.
  6. Optional Broil: For extra toasty marshmallows, put the bars under the broiler for 1-2 minutes after baking. Watch closely to prevent burning.
  7. Cool and Serve: Allow the bars to cool before cutting into 9 squares. Serve as a nostalgic sweet treat perfect for any gathering.

Notes

  • Broil briefly at the end for extra toasted marshmallows.
  • Use parchment paper for easier removal from the pan.
  • Substitute dark chocolate chips for a richer flavor.
  • Store bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
