Description

This Savory Omelette with Crispy Beef is a flavorful and satisfying dish combining fluffy eggs with tender, crispy beef pieces. Perfect for breakfast or brunch, this recipe balances rich protein with savory seasoning, enhanced by a quick stovetop cooking method for a quick yet delicious meal.

Ingredients

Omelette Ingredients

  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp butter

Crispy Beef Ingredients

  • 150g beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Green onions, sliced for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the beef: In a bowl, combine thinly sliced beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, sesame oil, and minced garlic. Toss well to coat all pieces evenly and let marinate for 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  2. Cook the beef: Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook until crispy and browned, about 4-5 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Beat the eggs: In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper until fully combined and slightly frothy.
  4. Cook the omelette: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Pour in the egg mixture and allow it to cook undisturbed for about 2 minutes or until the edges begin to set.
  5. Add crispy beef: Once the eggs are semi-set, evenly distribute the crispy beef across the top of the omelette. Continue cooking for another minute until eggs are fully set but still moist.
  6. Fold and serve: Carefully fold the omelette in half covering the beef, slide onto a plate, garnish with sliced green onions, and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use freshly beaten eggs for best fluffy texture.
  • Slice beef thinly to ensure quick and even cooking.
