Notes

  • Swiss cheese adds creaminess with a mild tang. For a sharper flavor, try Gruyère or provolone.
  • Caramelized onions can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Add-ins: Mushrooms, spinach, or bell peppers can be added when browning the beef for extra nutrients.
  • Gluten-Free Option: Use your favorite gluten-free pasta and ensure your Worcestershire sauce is gluten-free.
  • Storage Tip: Cooled leftovers can be frozen for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven for best texture.
  • Double Batch: This recipe easily doubles for feeding a crowd—just use a larger baking dish.
