Description

A fragrant and refreshing iced tea infused with culinary lavender, black tea, and natural sweeteners. Perfect for warm days or anytime you want a floral twist on classic iced tea.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender buds (or 3 tbsp fresh lavender)

4 teaspoons black tea leaves (or 4 tea bags; Earl Grey recommended)

4 cups hot water (195–205°F)

23 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (maple syrup or stevia alternatives)

Ice cubes (herb-infused optional)

46 lemon slices (or orange/lime for variation)

4 fresh lavender sprigs (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Sterilize a 1-quart heatproof pitcher and tea infuser. Rinse pitcher with hot tap water.

  2. Layer lavender in infuser, then add tea leaves.

  3. Pour hot water over blend and steep covered for 10 minutes.

  4. Remove infuser carefully, stir in sweetener while warm, adjust sweetness.

  5. Cool to room temperature, refrigerate 75 minutes or use ice bath to chill faster.

  6. Serve over ice with lemon slices and lavender sprigs.

Notes

  • Do not over-steep to avoid bitterness.
  • Substitute black tea with green tea for a lighter flavor.
  • Herb-infused ice cubes add extra flair.
  • Use fresh lavender for a stronger floral note.
