Description

This red velvet chocolate martini is a rich, creamy, and indulgent dessert-style cocktail that features deep chocolate flavor and a stunning red hue, perfect for Valentine’s Day and special celebrations. The recipe also includes a non-alcoholic mocktail version so everyone can enjoy this festive treat.

Ingredients

Cocktail Version (21+)

  • 2 oz vanilla vodka
  • 1 oz chocolate liqueur
  • 1 oz Irish cream liqueur
  • 1 oz heavy cream or half-and-half
  • ½ tsp cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp red food coloring
  • Ice

Mocktail Version (No Alcohol)

  • ½ cup milk or half-and-half
  • 2 tbsp chocolate syrup
  • ¼ tsp cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Red food coloring (adjust to desired color)
  • Ice

Optional Garnish

  • Chocolate syrup
  • Red velvet cake crumbs
  • Chocolate shavings
  • Valentine sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Prepare Glass: Drizzle chocolate syrup inside a martini glass and place it in the refrigerator to chill while you prepare the cocktail or mocktail.
  2. Mix Cocktail Ingredients: For the alcoholic version, fill a cocktail shaker with ice, then add vanilla vodka, chocolate liqueur, Irish cream liqueur, heavy cream or half-and-half, cocoa powder, and red food coloring. Shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until the mixture is frothy.
  3. Mix Mocktail Ingredients: For the non-alcoholic version, add milk or half-and-half, chocolate syrup, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, red food coloring, and ice to a shaker. Shake until smooth and slightly frothy.
  4. Strain and Serve: Strain the shaken mixture into the chilled, prepared martini glass to avoid ice chunks and maintain the smooth texture.
  5. Garnish: Add your choice of garnishes such as chocolate syrup drizzle, red velvet cake crumbs, chocolate shavings, or Valentine-themed sprinkles for an extra festive touch.
  6. Enjoy Immediately: Serve right away to enjoy the martini at its best texture and flavor.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of red food coloring to achieve a lighter or deeper red color according to your preference.
  • Using chocolate milk instead of cream can result in a sweeter version of the drink.
  • Chill the martini glasses before serving for the best presentation and temperature.
  • Serve immediately after preparation for the smoothest texture and freshest taste.
