A cozy and citrusy twist on classic hot chocolate, this Orange Hot Chocolate blends dark chocolate and fresh orange juice for a unique, comforting drink ready in just 5 minutes.
Ingredients
1/4 cup dark chocolate (approx. 2 oz.), chopped
1 cup almond milk (or milk of choice)
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tbsp cane sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp freshly squeezed orange juice
2–3 orange peel rinds
Instructions

In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, combine the chopped dark chocolate and almond milk. Stir frequently until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.

Lower the heat and add cocoa powder, cane sugar, vanilla extract, orange juice, and orange peel rinds.

Let the mixture simmer gently for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove from heat and strain out orange peels if desired.

Pour into a mug and top with whipped cream or chocolate shavings. Serve warm.
