These moist banana muffins are bursting with fresh banana flavor and topped with a rich swirl of Nutella. A simple, no-fail recipe that uses 6 ripe bananas and makes the perfect breakfast or snack.
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
6 medium ripe bananas (about 2 cups mashed)
½ cup melted butter
½ cup packed light brown sugar
¼ cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
⅓ cup Nutella
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line 18 muffin cups with paper liners.

In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

In a large bowl or stand mixer, beat mashed bananas, melted butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla for 3 minutes.

Add dry ingredients and mix just until combined.

Warm Nutella in the microwave for 30 seconds until runny.

Fill muffin liners ¾ full with batter. Add 1 tsp Nutella to each and swirl with a toothpick.

Bake 15–18 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Cool in pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
Notes
- Use overripe bananas for best flavor.
- Don’t overmix after adding flour.
- For a fun twist, stir mini chocolate chips into the batter.
