Ingredients
Pizza Base
- 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- Olive oil (for brushing)
Sauce and Cheese
- ½ cup pizza sauce
- 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Toppings (Optional)
- Pepperoni slices
- Bell peppers, sliced
- Olives, sliced
- Mushrooms, sliced
Seasoning
- Italian seasoning (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ease cleanup.
- Roll Out Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to about ¼-inch thickness for a thin and crispy crust.
- Cut Heart Shapes: Using a heart-shaped cookie cutter, cut out mini heart-shaped pizzas from the dough and transfer them carefully to the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush with Olive Oil: Lightly brush the edges of each dough heart with olive oil to help achieve a golden, crisp crust during baking.
- Add Sauce: Spread an even layer of pizza sauce over each heart-shaped dough piece, ensuring it doesn’t get too close to the edges.
- Add Cheese: Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce-covered dough hearts.
- Add Toppings: Arrange desired toppings such as pepperoni slices, bell peppers, olives, or mushrooms on top of the cheese.
- Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the crust turns golden and the cheese has melted and bubbled.
- Finish and Serve: Remove from the oven, sprinkle with Italian seasoning if using, and serve warm for a fun and flavorful mini pizza experience.
