Description

This bright and tangy lemon caper sauce is the perfect finishing touch for seafood, chicken, pasta, or vegetables. With butter, garlic, and zesty lemon, it’s fast, flavorful, and always a hit.

Ingredients

2 tbsp unsalted butter

2 tbsp olive oil

2 garlic cloves, minced

1/4 cup chicken broth

2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

2 tbsp capers, rinsed and drained

1 tsp lemon zest

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium skillet, melt butter and olive oil over medium heat.

  2. Add garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

  3. Pour in broth. Simmer 2–3 minutes.

  4. Add lemon juice, capers, and zest. Season with salt and pepper.

  5. Simmer 1–2 minutes more. Remove from heat.

  6. Stir in parsley if desired. Serve warm over fish, chicken, or pasta.

Notes

  • For a creamier version, stir in a splash of cream at the end.

  • Don’t skip rinsing the capers—it tones down their saltiness.
