Description

Lavender Chamomile Tea Latte is a soothing, floral beverage combining calming chamomile tea with fragrant culinary lavender and creamy milk. This naturally caffeine-free latte is lightly sweetened and ideal for relaxation and unwinding during peaceful evenings.

Ingredients

Tea Base

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 chamomile tea bag or 1 tablespoon loose-leaf chamomile
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried culinary lavender

Milk Mixture

  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy such as almond, oat, or coconut)

Sweetener & Flavoring

  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil Water: Bring 1 cup of water to a gentle boil in a small saucepan to prepare for the tea infusion.
  2. Steep Tea and Lavender: Remove the saucepan from heat, add the chamomile tea bag and 1/2 teaspoon dried culinary lavender. Allow to steep for 5 to 7 minutes to extract the flavors.
  3. Strain Tea: Strain the brewed tea to remove tea bag and lavender, discarding the solids to achieve a clear infusion.
  4. Heat Milk: Warm 1/2 cup of your preferred milk separately until heated through and optionally froth it for texture.
  5. Sweeten Tea: Stir 1 teaspoon of honey or maple syrup and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract into the brewed tea to add sweetness and aroma.
  6. Combine and Serve: Pour the tea mixture into a mug, top with the warmed milk, and serve immediately for a comforting latte experience.

Notes

  • Ensure you use culinary-grade lavender to avoid bitterness or toxicity.
  • Begin with a small amount of lavender to prevent overpowering the delicate flavors.
  • For a creamier texture, blend the warm milk briefly to create extra foam before adding it to the tea.
