Instructions
- Cook the bacon: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
- Toast the English muffin: Split the English muffin and toast it until golden brown. Set aside.
- Cook the egg: In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Crack the egg into the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook until the whites are set but the yolk remains runny or to your preferred doneness, about 2-3 minutes.
- Melt the cheese: Place the slice of cheddar cheese on top of the egg in the skillet and let it melt slightly, about 30 seconds.
