  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
  • 1 can tomato sauce (8 oz)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil: in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing for 2-3 minutes until softened and fragrant.
  2. Add ground beef: to the skillet, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks. Cook for 5-7 minutes until browned and fully cooked.
  3. Drain fat: if necessary. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beef broth.
  4. Add seasonings: oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Adjust seasoning: to taste before serving hot.
