Description
A hearty and flavorful bowl featuring juicy grilled steak, tender zucchini, and a rich creamy sauce, perfect for a balanced and satisfying meal.
Ingredients
Steak and Vegetables
- 2 steaks (sirloin or ribeye)
- 2 zucchinis, sliced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup cooked rice or quinoa
Creamy Sauce
- 1/2 cup yogurt or sour cream
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season Steak: Season the steaks generously with salt and pepper on both sides to enhance their natural flavors.
- Grill Steak: Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the steaks for about 4-6 minutes per side depending on thickness and desired doneness. Once cooked, let the steaks rest for 5 minutes before slicing to retain juices.
- Prepare Zucchini: Toss the sliced zucchinis with olive oil and a pinch of salt and pepper. Grill them alongside the steak until tender and grill marks appear, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Make Creamy Sauce: In a bowl, combine yogurt or sour cream, mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix well until smooth and creamy.
- Assemble Bowl: Place cooked rice or quinoa at the base of each bowl. Arrange sliced steak and grilled zucchini on top.
- Serve: Drizzle the creamy sauce over the assembled steak bowl and serve immediately for a balanced, satisfying meal.
Notes
- Substitute chicken for a lighter protein option.
- Add avocado slices for extra richness and creaminess.
- Use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream for a healthier sauce alternative.
