Ingredients

1 ¾ cups (220 g) all-purpose flour

½ cup (40 g) unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

¼ teaspoon salt

½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened

¾ cup (150 g) granulated sugar

½ cup (100 g) packed light brown sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ cup (90 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup (50 g) mini marshmallows

⅓ cup (60 g) marshmallow fluff (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

  2. Whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.

  3. Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.

  4. Beat in egg and vanilla.

  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet until just combined.

  6. Fold in chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, and marshmallow fluff (if using).

  7. Scoop dough onto baking sheets, leaving 2 inches apart.

  8. Bake 8-10 minutes until edges set but centers soft.

  9. Cool on sheets 5 minutes, then transfer to rack.

Notes

  • Don’t overmix once dry ingredients are added to keep cookies tender.
  • Watch marshmallows carefully as they bake for the best texture and flavor.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days or freeze for longer.
