Description

A rich and creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pasta that combines tender chicken breast, garlic, and flavorful Parmesan cheese tossed with al dente pasta. This quick and indulgent Italian-American dish is perfect for a comforting weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 8 oz pasta (penne or fettuccine)

Chicken and Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 chicken breasts, sliced thin
  • 1 cup heavy cream or milk
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Garnish

  • Parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta: Cook the pasta according to the package directions until al dente. Drain well and set aside to be combined later.
  2. Sauté Garlic: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.
  3. Cook Chicken: Add the thinly sliced chicken breasts to the skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is browned on the outside and cooked through to the center, about 6-8 minutes.
  4. Make Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream (or milk), then stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer gently for 2 to 3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Toss Pasta: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the sauce and chicken. Toss everything together thoroughly to coat the pasta with the creamy sauce evenly.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve immediately while warm and creamy.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add fresh spinach or sun-dried tomatoes while making the sauce.
  • Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter sauce option.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste, especially salt and pepper.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and texture.
