Description

A rich and flavorful garlic butter shrimp pasta featuring tender shrimp sautéed in a buttery garlic sauce, tossed with perfectly cooked pasta and finished with creamy Parmesan and fresh parsley. This quick and elegant dish is perfect for a satisfying weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 200 g pasta

Shrimp and Sauce

  • 300 g shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Garnish

  • Fresh parsley (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta: Prepare the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Once cooked, drain the pasta and set aside.
  2. Sauté Garlic: In a pan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant and slightly golden, being careful not to burn it.
  3. Cook Shrimp: Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until the shrimp turn pink and are fully cooked through.
  4. Add Cream: Pour in the heavy cream and reduce the heat to a gentle simmer. Let it cook for a few minutes to thicken slightly.
  5. Incorporate Cheese and Lemon: Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and lemon juice until the cheese melts and the sauce is creamy and well-blended. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Toss Pasta with Sauce: Add the cooked pasta to the pan and toss well to coat the pasta evenly with the creamy garlic butter shrimp sauce.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the dish for a fresh finish and serve the pasta warm.

Notes

  • Do not overcook shrimp to keep them tender and juicy.
  • Add chili flakes for a spicy kick if desired.
  • Substitute heavy cream with milk for a lighter version.
