Description

Juicy chicken breasts pan-fried to golden perfection and simmered in a rich garlic butter cream sauce with crispy bacon and fresh spinach. This hearty and flavorful American main course is quick and easy to prepare, making it perfect for a satisfying weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Chicken and Bacon

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped

Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups fresh spinach

Instructions

  1. Cook Bacon: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until it turns crispy. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon and set it aside on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess fat.
  2. Cook Chicken: In the same pan, using the rendered bacon fat, add the chicken breasts. Cook each side until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side depending on thickness. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
  3. Sauté Garlic: Melt the butter in the pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Make Cream Sauce: Pour the cream into the pan and bring it to a gentle simmer. Stir gently to combine with the garlic butter.
  5. Add Spinach: Stir in the fresh spinach and cook until wilted, about 2-3 minutes. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Combine & Serve: Return the cooked chicken breasts and crispy bacon to the pan. Coat them well with the creamy garlic butter sauce. Serve the dish warm, pairing it with pasta, rice, or vegetables as desired.

Notes

  • For extra juiciness, substitute chicken breasts with chicken thighs.
  • Add grated Parmesan cheese to the cream sauce for a richer, more savory flavor.
  • This dish pairs beautifully with pasta, steamed rice, or sautéed vegetables for a complete meal.
