Instructions

- Season: Pat steaks dry with paper towels and season both sides evenly with salt and black pepper.
- Heat Skillet: Heat a heavy skillet, preferably cast iron, over medium-high heat until hot.
- Add Oil: Pour in olive oil and heat until it begins to shimmer, indicating it’s hot enough for searing.
- Sear Steaks: Place steaks in skillet and sear for 3 to 4 minutes on each side for medium-rare doneness.
- Add Garlic Butter: Reduce heat to medium-low, add the prepared garlic butter to the pan, and continuously spoon the melted butter over the steaks to enhance flavor and moisture.
- Finish Cooking: Continue cooking steaks in the garlic butter for an additional 1–2 minutes until desired doneness is reached.
- Rest Steaks: Remove steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes to allow juices to redistribute and ensure tenderness.
- Serve: Serve the filet mignon steaks topped with the remaining garlic butter for an indulgent finish.
